This new diversity has expanded the commercial potential of the sector, opening up a wealth of fresh business possibilities, which have received support from both government and private sources.

New opportunities have been created in the development and launch of small rockets. There is also strong growth in satellite-dependent observation, broadcasting, communication and data services. Research, experiments and manufacturing aimed at space development are also gathering pace.

Space tourism is another focus of attention and several companies are currently creating out-of-this-world experiences aimed at exploring the leisure potential of space.

When the HVAC manufacturer was building its new state-of-the-art workspace, the company knew forklifts would be key to moving tons of heavy equipment in the most e cient way possible. Nearly every Daikin or Goodman HVAC product shipped in the U.S. would be passing through this campus. In the past, Daikin had used internal combustion forklifts in their facilities; however, in this new project, they made a decision that all new lift truck purchases would be electric forklifts.

“One of our biggest challenges is just the overall size and the travel here through the facility,” he said. “We were looking for a solution that was comfortable for the forklift drivers to operate and something these guys would enjoy.”

And so, the search began.
